Hi, one of your regulars has been pestering me for some time now (a year or more, perhaps) to join you. I've fobbed him off, and avoided D&D online as I miss the entire kino/aural interaction that you get around the table.
To my mind computer games should be games, and roleplay should stay where it shines - in the game room. I've always thought in my very limited experience that online roleplaying combines the worst of both mediums. Perhaps I will be persuaded otherwise? *wink and a wry grin* We are regular long-time tabletop players, with an emphasis on heavy roleplay, low reward, low magic, high-stakes gritty games. Sundren sounds perfect for such this play style. Sadly, our RL gaming has dwindled to just a few sessions a year due to other over-riding commitments. I've read through the introductory wiki articles and forum posts and one thing isn't made clear. Backstory, profile creation, etc is encouraged, but it all appears to be public. Should I create a public profile and a private DM copy? From the way I read it, it is up to the players to be mature about shared IC/OOC content, and I'm happy with that if that's the case, however I feel happier as a player not knowing information my character does not have access to - my behaviour is always IC then and I have no need to question myself "Is this OOC?" I have a very basic story and writeup for my Sundren character, which I will post soon, to RP Central appears to be the right forum, although it seems as though perhaps I should wiki it also? I do have a few items in the backstory I would refer not to reveal. Nothing earthshaking, but depending how they turn out, quite dramatic indeed for the character. I'd prefer IC reactions to them to remain as natural as possible. *smiles slowly, as if relishing a particularly poignant memory* Technically, I'm pretty new to NWN and don't type very fast, or accurately, so please be patient if I appear to be doddering. I look forwards to a rich RP experience with you all, and a lot of fun!

Hmm... didn't find and appropriate forum for an external-viewpoint OOC character profile. I will look into a more subjective post to /Roleplaying, will have to think about it.
Meanwhile I will leave the profile here. While roleplaying will bring out the details, consider this an initial snapshot to fix her in your mind. Quote:
