Thank you muchly Dave, fingers crossed this works!

Edit:

Wow, honestly I didn't expect that to work: I had on one hard drive a non-steam (the old CDs, now somewhere in a draw in another country) NWN2 installation but with an old non-functioning OS. My current HD has Steam on which I have NWN2, but not installed and due to bandwidth/money constraints a more than passing inability to install the damn thing. However, copying all the files from the older HDD to my steam install/my documents folders then telling Steam to go ahead and install it there actually worked. It did a quick look over the files, agreed they were the game in question and did all the important shit to make it work without downloading a thing. Brilliant! Thanks Dave

I can now crack back on with work! (still missing a lot of programs such as PS, UE and Quixel, but nothing Sundren critical, just extremely problematic for other things).

I wish my computer believed in me.

Any suggestions on what the buggering fuck might be going on here?

Certainly a bit of an issue, the two large blank areas should have a suit of armour and an area in them, not a one-note modernist interpretation of a whiteout in the arctic tundra.
